All my friends have their careers started or at LEAST know what they’re going to do. I’ve been in retail for the past five years and it’s not REALLY a career – unless you’re a manager like Jeannie or Alisa. I would never say that they’re wasting their lives cause they make good money and they’re into what they do. I HATE retail though so I would never want to be a manager. Unless Ann said I could not sell but who wants a manager like that! So, I’m going into East Asian Studies in September (hopefully, if I pass my class) because that’s what I love. But, really, what am I going to do after I graduate (in like 10 years cause I’m sure it’ll take me that long)? Sure, I could be an interpreter or some sort of advisor to a big company but… that doesn’t sound like fun. I want to do make a career for myself like Liza Dalby or something like that. Can someone pay me to go to Japan and tell them tidbits of information and what I think of it? I just feel like I’m doing absolutely NOTHING with my life.
